White Woven Wool Purse
Hand dyed, handwoven and handmade on the Isle of Skye by local maker Sandra Bouchon. This purse is handwoven using wool from Blackface, Cheviot, Hardwick and Hebridean Sheep which are raised by Sandra on her croft near Duntulm Castle in the north of the Island.
The fleeces are spun in Scotland and are then hand dyed by Sandra using natural dyes. Each purse contains a metal zip for fastening. Sandra creates this purse using dark grey herd wick natural fleece and the pink is created using a natural Lac-extract dye.
Due to their handmade nature the colour and size of each piece will vary. The peg images show the variety of colour of wool the purses can be created in.
